Geoffrey McCaleb aka the mad scientist

Geoffrey originally hails from Texas, but has been living in London since 2001. He loves music, technology, and has an unhealthy addiction to twitter and BBQ'ing.

Geoffrey has worked for startups and major enterprises alike, but has always had a passion for large scale web and content management platforms. Originally nsyght started off as a means to solve a problem with search relevancy back in 2007, nsyght essentially worked by marrying user bookmarks with general web search. However, as the social scene evolved, Geoffrey realized the scope problem was much bigger, and well beyond bookmarks alone. Also, as he got more involved with various social services, he found he never had the time to keep up with his friends across all the social services he used. Thus, nsyght was reborn.

Geoffrey thinks he is cool customer like Ferris Bueller, but his friends think of him as the comic book guy. Geoffrey is also a proud father and a very lucky husband. You can keep up with Geoffrey here.

Doğacan Güney aka the architect

Doğacan lives in Ankara, Turkey. He has always been fascinated with computers and technology so software development was a natural fit for him. He's contributed to various open-source projects and has been an Apache Nutch committer since 2007. He hopes to release much of nsyght's foundation which merges hbase with nutch to the community.

Doğacan loves to solve problems on the massive scale and felt social networks held a unique challenge. Unlike traditional data sets, social networking data required a completely new approach, in that they presented a complete fragmentation of data on a massive scale - It was a problem that could not be solved with conventional architecture. He's been at nsyght since the beginning and is excited to be the driving force behind nsyght's real time infrastructure.

A fan of Blues and Rock, he also tries to play guitar to varying degrees of success.

Enis Söztutar aka chief insider

Enis was born in the city of Eskisehir, but lives in Ankara, Turkey. He has been working on Internet search, distributed computing and web analytics for several years. He has been an active committer for the Apache Hadoop project since 2007.

Enis loves analyzing "big data", and sees socials networks as the definitive source. In Nsyght, he is happy to help users manage their data.

Apart from the geeky parts, he has a deep interest in photography and drumming. You can keep up with Enis here.

Sertan Alkan aka the brain

Sertan lives in Ankara, Turkey and is passionate about new technology. He likes to be a part of tech talks, likes to plan to invent the next big thing on the internet with friends.

Sertan lives and breathes distributed computing. Having worked with hadoop and hbase for several years, his passion is in solving highly complex problems algorithmically. Sertan is our resident java ninja and will be leading nsyght's scaling efforts.

Sertan is fan of many sports, also an ambitious practitioner of them and loves the challenge. He can be reached on the run, in the gym or online before a computer.
