Geoffrey McCaleb, Director of Product

Geoffrey originally hails from Texas, but has been living in London since 2001. He has a deep background in designing and delivering large scale web and content management platforms for EDS, ReedElsevier, c|net, BP, BT and others

Geoffrey started Nsyght in 2007 as a personal pursuit to marry user bookmarks with general web search. As the social web took more shape with Facebook and Twitter, he decided that search relevancy was an exciting subject in need of somebody to take the lead. He has worked for the last year to lay the foundations for Nsyght’s current algorithmic technology.

When he isn’t hanging out with his team (his “other” family), he enjoys time with his wife and son, exploring new music, and sharpening his self-proclaimed “off the charts” BBQing skills.

Doğacan Güney, Lead architect

Doğacan lives in Ankara, Turkey where he is in pursuit of a PHD in Computer Science and Tecnology from METU (Middle East Technical University). He has always been fascinated with computers and technology and began software development at a young age. He's contributed to various open-source projects and has been an Apache Nutch committer since 2007. A fan of Blues and Rock, he also tries to play guitar to varying degrees of success.

Jason Cavnar, Chief 'Business Guy'

Jason has spent the last 10 years working with startups in various capacities including strategy consultant, business development, Board member, Founder, etc. His past work includes forming: ArbiterSports with the NCAA, Agility Studios with leading entertainment executives, the high school sports division at ESPN (Rise) and Sports Business Ventures with leading sports industry executives. A former athlete and son of a life-long coach, Jason enjoys stewarding teams, building great products, the creative process of startups and the “pursuit” of “big ideas”.

Enis Söztutar, VP Engineering

Enis was born in the city of Eskisehir, but lives in Ankara, Turkey where he is in pursuit of a PHD in Computer Science and Tecnology from METU (Middle East Technical University). He has been working on Internet search, distributed computing and web analytics for several years and has been an active committer for the Apache Hadoop project since 2007. Enis is obsessed analyzing "big data", better. When he isn’t “geeking out”, he has a deep interest in photography and is a fairly “legit” drummer.

Sertan Alkan, VP Engineering

Sertan lives in Ankara, Turkey and is a true ninja hacker. Having worked with hadoop and hbase for several years, his passions include solving highly complex problems algorithmically and distributed computing efficiency. Sertan is an avid sports fan, an outdoorsman, runner and “workout freak”.
